Gary Reams has joined BlueWater’s Business Development group as a Proposal Writer. Gary brings to BlueWater over 25 years of experience in telecommunications, quality, training, and process engineering of which 10 years has been proposal writing and business development. He is an experienced writer across numerous genres including technical, process, and IA. He is currently pursuing graduate work at Virginia Tech in Science and Technology Studies.

Silas Manuel joins the BlueWater team to solely focus on augmenting our new business development efforts through the marketing of the great work that BlueWater does for our customers. Formerly, Silas was the Director of Business Development at WBB Consulting, and he brings approximately 30 years of achieving successful results selling information technology solutions to primarily Federal civilian agencies, including, Departments of Transportation, Homeland Security, Commerce, Veterans Affairs, Treasury, State, Agriculture, Interior, Housing and Urban Development, and the US Postal Service, among others. He has worked for a range of information technology services and software product companies, including a management consulting firm and a major systems integrator.

BlueWater becomes a member of the GTSC Government Technology & Services Coalition (GTSC) which is a nonprofit, non-partisan association of innovative, agile small and medium-sized company CEOs that create, develop, and implement solutions for the Federal homeland and national security sector. 

Michael has over 25 years of experience managing technology, operations, and sales strategies in both the private sector and federal government. Prior to coming to BlueWater Federal, Michael held a unique position as Direct of Business Development for SAVA Solutions where he helped grow the company from 5 people to over 400 in 4 years.

BlueWater sends all senior members of our Development Team to become Certified SCRUM Masters (CSM) to help our customer migrate from traditional development techniques to Agile.

Race for Spinal Health. The fifth annual “We’ve Got Your Back” Race for Spinal Health attracted a record-breaking 800 participants and raised more than $100,000 for the Spinal Research Foundation.

BlueWater passes 2nd annual external audit by QSR for its ISO 9001:2008 registration and Quality Management System.

BlueWater wins NAVSEA recompete providing Facility and Program Management for over 1 million square feet in the Washington Navy Yard. This is now our 4th year supporting NAVSEA with these services at the Washington Navy Yard.

BlueWater Operations Director, Adam D. Hawkins, receives his Project Management Institute’s PgMP and PMP recertification in conformance with the PMI Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) program.  The CCR program emphasizes professional development through education and giving back to the profession. Adam is part of an elite group of practitioners with the PgMP certification.  There are less than 1000 certified PgMPs world-wide.

Protégé program with Wyle Information Systems. Wyle selected BlueWater as a Protégé based upon BlueWater’s dedication to mature business practices and highly successfully delivery on a diverse range of highly complex federal IDIQ and multiple Task Order contracts.

BlueWater has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to receive the 2011 DHS Small Business Achievement Award for its outstanding work performed for FEMA
