Community Commitment

Changing Our Community for the Better...

At BlueWater, we give because we can, not because we want something in return; that is to say, giving back to our community is not a forced function, but rather a cultural embodiment of not just our leadership team, but throughout entire staff. We even engage partner companies that are willing to participate.BlueWater Federal Team

For nearly a decade, BlueWater has served clients, conducting business with integrity and adherence to the highest ethical standards. While our primary goal focuses on helping clients succeed, we never lose sight of how our work can impact our community and make it a better place. Beyond the walls of BlueWater and our clients’ offices,

Our people make a difference in the communities in which we live. BlueWater is a firm believer that we have a corporate responsibility to give back to the communities in which we work and live and as a result, have developed a number of charities that we support through our financial giving and time. In fact, in terms of our corporate giving, 2012 contributions represent approximately 9% of our profits, excluding direct contributions of our employees to corporate selected charities.

While the work of the charities we support is often daunting, it isn’t always the size of the contribution, but rather the consistency of contribution itself. We also try to make giving fun, and when possible a team building experience, As example, in support of Oxfam America, BlueWater initiated our “Friday Dungaree Days” in the workplace where employees donate $2 for wearing jeans to work. Since 2010, funds from this effort are donated to this organization in support of international relief and development that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice.Another charity supported by the BlueWater team is the Spinal Research Foundation, Since 2009, BlueWater has supported SRF as a Gold Sponsor and our employees and partners have participated in the annual We’ve Got Your Back 5K Run/Walk for Spinal Health Awareness benefiting the SRF. What has been exciting is that in the last three years (2010, 2011 and, 2012) BlueWater has won the First Place award for “Corporate Team” participation. We are looking forward to doing it again next year!

In addition to SRF and Oxfam, other organizations supported by BlueWater include:
